A time for cookouts, families, and good times. With that said, who's ready for some summertime jams!? For those who still say hip-hop is dead, let us here at Peter Darker try and change your mind. Here are The Top Hip-Hop Albums You Need To Hear Heading Into Summer 2018:

KIDS SEE GHOSTS - Kanye West & Kid Cudi

It's been awhile since we've heard from Kid Cudi, but he's back in a collaboration album with Kanye West. West and Cudi bring out the best in each other in this album titled KIDS SEE GHOSTS.

The A$AP Mob is back and firing on all cylinders with their "trippy" sound. You have to listen to the "A$AP Forever REMIX" and "Praise The Lord (Da Shine)." Too good.

Daytona - Pusha T

G.O.O.D. Music has been on a roll to kick off the month of June, starting with Virginia's own, Pusha T. One of his best albums yet, King Push also makes sure to throw some shade at Drake on the track "Infrared" in response to Drake's track, "2 Birds, 1 Stone" he released back in 2017.

KOD - J. Cole

J. Cole is back with his 5th studio album titled, "KOD." Cole was quoted on Twitter saying that KOD has three meanings: "Kids on Drugs," "King Overdosed," and "Kill Our Demons."

The rest of the album, I leave to your interpretation.” - J. Cole

Invasion Of Privacy - Cardi B

In 2018, Cardi B has taken the hip-hop world by storm. Her early success is complimented with one of the best albums of the year in "Invasion of Privacy." The whole album, track after track, is something you'll be pleasantly surprised with.

beerbongs & bentleys - Post Malone

Post Malone continues to follow his own trends and ride his own wave. His unique sound has landed his latest album "beerbongs & bentleys" on the Top 10 Billboard chart for albums, and his track "Psycho" featuring Ty Dolla $ign has landed on the Top 10 Billboard chart for singles as well.

ye - Kanye West

Despite his recent outlandish remarks, Kanye West proves he's still a lyrical genius. "ye" currently sits at number 1 on the Billboard chart for albums, and this 7 set tracklist is one of Kanye's best ever.

Scorpion - Drake

Ok, so we know that Drake's "Scorpion" is not officially out yet, but we know it's set to drop in June 2018 any day now. Drake continues to be in the upper echelon of hip-hop, and fans are anxious to see if Drake will address his latest beef with Pusha T in the album. We can't wait!
